Pelvic Power for Core Integration, a Franklin Method® Workshop

The Franklin Method® distinguishes itself by focusing on imagery, self-touch and movement exercises that can be performed in any movement setting. All types of imagery are used to promote motivation, movement and general health. The Franklin Method demonstrates that embodying function improves function.

Join Laura for the workshop that started it all. Laura's journey and excitement with the Franklin Method started when she was exposed to the pelvic power class and it's role in force absorption, force generation and movement. Just when she though she could no longer dance in they way she wanted to, understanding the bone rhythms and muscles of the pelvis changed everything to her amazement. Moving with more freedom and ease, Laura's goal is to share with you the same amazement and understanding she gained from her first workshop.

In this workshop we will focus on the practical application of imagery techniques to increase the power, alignment and flexibility of the pelvic joints and muscles to balance the action of the joints. We will experience the natural bone rhythms in support of healthy function. This, in turn, will increase the safety of the lower back, knees and feet and feel freedom and ease in the low back.

Also enjoy embodying the pelvic floor as a whole and it's role in pelvic movement. Furthermore, understanding and embodying the transversus abdominis and its role in breathing and core integration.

Laura Peterson is a certified Level 3 Franklin Method® Educator, a lifelong dancer and former professor of dance.
